Point Park, locally known as“Froggy Park," sits on a unique triangular corner between Main and State streets in Saint Joseph, Michigan. This quaint, a kind of meditative park, was created in 1950 by the Garden Club, eludes beauty in what would usually be unused space. It features a cool fountain topped by two children holding an umbrella. What are they afraid to get wet? The water spurts from the umbrella top, flows over the umbrella and lands in the upper pool. The lower catch basin features four water-spitting frogs with smiles on their faces. The Southwest Michigan Garden Club restored the fountain and added benches in around the turn of the century - this century.
